Built in 1928 in Boothbay, Maine, Temma is the flagship of the Antique Yacht Collection. The boat was originally built as a spacious family cruising boat intended for New England waters in the summer months. These attributes make the boat ideal as a day boat, offering private boat tours around the Newport, RI, harbor and the rest of Narragansett Bay.
The boat offers five private charter yacht packages, which can be customized to our guests needs. Our charter packages are classed by time and level of food and beverage services provided. All our trips are private, which means that when you board the boat, it will be only you, the people you invite, and the crew. The boat is limited to 6 guests. All prices are for the boat and time, not by the person. This a private charter boat and does not offer ticket sales
The majority of our charter packages focus on Newport harbor and the shore line of the East Passage of Narragansett Bay. On this incredible boat tour of Newport, RI, you will experience mansion sights such as Castle Hill, Ocean Cliff, Bacon Rock, Clingstone, Hammersmith Farm, Beachbound, Bonniecrest, Horses Head Estate, Fort Adams, the Jamestown coast, Goat Island, and Mackerel Cove.
The private charter yacht rarely exits the protected waters of Narragansett Bay; this ensures a comfortable ride. Our cancellation policy is very flexible, with the main priority of making our guest happy, rain or shine, doldrums or hurricanes.
While you are in Newport make every second count! Come out for an early morning Mimosa cruise. Mornings on the bay are beautiful, calm and warm. Sip your mimosa while you cruise Newport harbor. A morning cruise is an ideal time to bring children out for a boat ride. Cruises are 1hr&30min and include mimosas and soft drinks
The boat usually cruises though Newport harbor, out past Fort Adams, towards Castle hill, across East Passage, down the Jamestown Coast, back across the bay towards Rose and Goat Island, under the Goat Island Bridge, to the Newport Shipyard, and back to Bowens Landing, in front of the Lobster Bar and Landing restaurants.
If guests decide to go swimming on this charter, there may not be enough time to see all the sights.
A light snack, water, and soft drinks are provided. BYOB encouraged. Restricted to 6 guests.
The best way to bring an amazing day to a close and usher in a fun night on the town in Newport. See the colors of the bay come to life with a backdrop of mansions, farms, and lighthouses. This is a crew favorite and tends to be the first slot to sell out on a busy weekend.
The route we take is the same as the Hour and 45min. cruise. The sun is usually setting at we are on the home stretch between Rose Island and Goat Island, on the way back into Newport harbor.
The sunset cruise is a favorite for marriage proposals and groups who plan on going out to dinner in Newport after the cruise.
We include a bottle of chilled Prosecco, a light snack, water, and soft drinks; however, BYOB is encouraged! Restricted to 6 guests.
The Half Day Charter follows the same route as the 1 hour and 45-minute boat ride, except now we have plenty of time to stop, anchor the boat, eat lunch prepared on board by the stewardess, go for a swim to the beach, catch some sun on the foredeck, and maybe even wet a line with the fishing rod.
We also provide a snack, light desert, and a few beers and wine, even though most guests enjoy bringing the exact drink they want along with them.
This is an exceptionally fun package, and it has become immensely popular. If this is a package that you would like to try, we will need at least 24hrs. notice, in order to provision, unless you do not mind bringing your own food.
The Full Day Expedition Charter
This is specifically for people who know what they are getting themselves into, or that would need to reserve the boat for the whole day due to their schedule and needs.
A 6 hour & 30 min. day on the water is a long day. This charter option is good for guests who want to see more of Narragansett Bay, Spectate a yacht regatta, or cruise all the way up to Bristol or Wickford for lunch.
We include lunch, two snacks, beer, wine, desert, and flexibility.
