We find this sunset boat tour package perfect for those wanting to end their day in Newport, RI, with an amazing sunset, good company, and just a little more sightseeing. Your crew is happy to provide light narration with their extensive knowledge of the bay, mansions, homes, and history, if that is something that the group wants to hear about. Sunsets in Newport over the Bay and Jamestown are well known for being breathtaking with the Newport Bridge presenting in spectacular fashion.
After boarding on Bowen’s Wharf, we leave the dock and cruise through Brenton’s Cove, Ida Lewis Yacht Club, Harbor Court, and Beason Rock. In this first part of the cruise, we will serve you drinks and get a bit of ambiance started with your choice of music played through our bluetooth sound system.
This part of the bay is quite breathtaking as we cruise by Fort Adams and head into Narragansett Bay. You will see Hammersmith Farm, Castle Hill, and the house on the rock Clingstone during this part of the sunset cruise. We will serve you a snack while cruising down the Jamestown coast and make sure your drinks are good. After cruising by the town center of Jamestown, we cross the bay again, this time passing Rose Island lighthouse and Goat Island lighthouse. This is usually when the sunset begins to show its magnificent colours. The Newport bridge and various lighthouses form a spectacular backdrop to the sunset colors as we come in.
Once back in Newport Harbor, we go past the Newport Shipyard. By this time, the sun has gone down; however, there are always amazing colors which reflect off the perfect supper yacht hulls as we go through the Newport Shipyard.
Please don’t forget a warm layer for when the sun goes down.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own food and alcoholic beverages to supplement what we provide. We provide the ice, ice bucket, cooler, glasses, napkins, plates, cutlery, bottle openers, emergency swimming towels, and warm blankets on cold days and after the sun has set.
Kids, babies, and even dogs are more than welcome on our Newport sunset cruise – the boat is all yours for the evening!
